Patterico has a heads-up on four more Clintonistas being named to Barack Obama’s legal team. The antithesis of “change” marches on as more former administration officials are added to the “new politician’s” Cabinet. If being Clinton’s third term was such a great and fantastic idea, they should have ran on that promise and pledge. I wonder if that would have gone over well.
In a pending appointment for Surgeon General, Obama wants CNN’s Sanjay Gupta. Others have mocked the pick, but I’m actually not going to be too cantankerous about this one. Dr. Gupta truthfully is a decent doctor, having performed brain surgeries and being embedded in a Marine unit, and the Surgeon General is not a post that carries too much power. That being said, there were undoubtedly other just as qualified doctors, and Gupta’s semi-celebrity status could be seen as another sign of Obama’s lightweight train of thought. Like I said, I’m not too worked up about it. Gupta at least has experience in what he’ll be doing, which is more than you can say for Leon Panetta at the CIA.
