From no less than the New York Times, we find out that two Russian attack subs were hovering in international waters just off the eastern seaboard of the US. The article downplays it as a rare mission of a Russian military struggling to find relevance after a failed Arctic missile test.

Myself, I think the Russians are looking to expand their influence in the Western Hemisphere. They’ve had joint military exercises with Venezuela and madeĀ overtures to Cuba. Biden was right during the campaign – they’re testing President Obama. Will he have the nerves of steel as advertised? In his zest to get along, methinks not. Stay tuned.
